Digital Millennium Copyright Act Policy

Plain-English Summary

We respect copyright. Viewlix is a connection-and-support service for IPTV streaming — we do not host, store, transmit, or moderate any audio, video, or channel content on our own servers. Streams pass through third-party infrastructure that we point our customers’ player apps at. If you believe a stream that reaches users via our service infringes your copyright, send a properly-formatted DMCA notice to the address at the bottom of this page and we will act on it expeditiously, including removing access where it is within our control and terminating the accounts of repeat infringers. The full formal policy follows.

Viewlix respects the intellectual property rights of others and expects its users to do the same. In accordance with the Digital Millennium Copyright Act of 1998, the text of which may be found on the U.S. Copyright Office website at http://www.copyright.gov/legislation/dmca.pdf, Viewlix will respond expeditiously to claims of copyright infringement committed using the Viewlix service and/or the Viewlix website (the “Site”) if such claims are reported to Viewlix’s Designated Copyright Agent identified in the sample notice below.

Content Disclaimer — Our Role

Viewlix is an online service provider as defined in the Digital Millennium Copyright Act and the EU E-Commerce Directive equivalents. We provide an IPTV connection service. We do not host, store, or distribute any media files or content on our servers. All content is provided by third-party servers and we have no control over the content they host.

We do not own, manage, host, check, or maintain any of the channels or content. We are a mere conduit for the transmission of information.

Specifically, we do not: (a) operate origin streaming servers; (b) acquire, encode, or re-encode media; (c) curate channel lineups or schedules; (d) cache content for redistribution; (e) modify or transcode any signal we transmit. Our service consists of selling subscription credentials (username, password, server URL) that customers configure into widely-available third-party IPTV player applications such as IPTV Smarters Pro, TiviMate, GSE Smart IPTV, and similar tools. The actual streams originate from upstream providers operated independently of Viewlix.

Takedown Notices — What to Send

If you are a copyright owner, authorized to act on behalf of one, or authorized to act under any exclusive right under copyright, please report alleged copyright infringements taking place on or through the Site by completing the following DMCA Notice of Alleged Infringement and delivering it to our Designated Copyright Agent.

A valid DMCA Notice of Alleged Infringement must contain substantially the following six elements (per 17 U.S.C. §512(c)(3)):

  • A physical or electronic signature of a person authorized to act on behalf of the owner of an exclusive right that is allegedly infringed.
  • Identification of the copyrighted work claimed to have been infringed (or, if multiple works, a representative list).
  • Identification of the material that is claimed to be infringing or to be the subject of infringing activity, with sufficient specificity for us to locate it — channel name, programme title, broadcaster, date and approximate time of infringement, and any URLs or stream identifiers in your possession.
  • Information reasonably sufficient to permit us to contact you — address, telephone number, email.
  • A statement that you have a good-faith belief that the disputed use is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
  • A statement that the information in the notification is accurate and, under penalty of perjury, that you are authorized to act on behalf of the owner of an exclusive right that is allegedly infringed.

Notices missing any of the above elements may not result in expedited action, but we will still attempt to address the concern in good faith. Please send notices in plain text or PDF; do not embed claim details inside images or video files only.

Upon receipt of Notice as described above, Viewlix will take whatever action, in its sole discretion, it deems appropriate, including removal of the challenged usage from the Site, suspension of the affected upstream relationship where applicable, and/or termination of the Viewlix user’s account in appropriate circumstances.

Counter-Notification

If you are a Viewlix customer or affiliate whose access has been disabled because of a DMCA takedown that you believe was filed in error or as a result of misidentification, you may send us a counter-notification containing: (1) your physical or electronic signature; (2) identification of the material removed and the location at which it appeared before removal; (3) a statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good-faith belief that the material was removed as a result of mistake or misidentification; (4) your name, address, telephone, and a statement that you consent to the jurisdiction of the relevant federal or local court and will accept service of process from the original complainant or their agent. We forward valid counter-notifications to the original complainant and may restore access if no further legal action is taken within ten business days.

Repeat Infringer Policy

Consistent with 17 U.S.C. §512(i), Viewlix maintains a policy of terminating, in appropriate circumstances, the accounts of customers who are repeat copyright infringers. We log validly-noticed takedowns against the originating account where determinable. Customers who accumulate multiple substantiated DMCA notices, or who attempt to circumvent enforcement (e.g., by re-subscribing under a new identity), face permanent service termination without refund.

Misrepresentation

Please be aware that knowingly making material misrepresentations in a DMCA notice or counter-notice can result in personal liability under 17 U.S.C. §512(f), including for damages, costs, and attorneys’ fees incurred by us or by the alleged infringer. We will not act on notices that appear to be sent in bad faith or for a purpose other than legitimate copyright enforcement.
